Potatoes Really Might Help You Lose Weight
Potatoes May Help You Lose Weight
For several years now, Kathleen DesMaisons, has been touting potatoes as a cure for sugar addiction, depression, and weight gain. For those who don’t know, she’s a leading expert on the subject, and the author of Potatoes, not Prozac, and The Sugar Addict’s Total Recovery Program.
Now there may be research to back up her claims. I know you’re concerned about carbs, but scientists have now discovered a protein in potatoes that makes you feel full before you’ve eaten as much as you normally would. You eat fewer calories, so you naturally lose weight.
The protein is called called Satise. And wouldn’t you know it - one of the world’s least expensive foods is now showing up in a supplement pill. I checked their website, and a bottle of the stuff costs $49.00.
Naturally, no research was done to see if plain old potatoes would help you lose weight. However, I now intend to take another look at Dr. DesMaisons’ books. If hoodia lowers the appetite just by eating a hunk cut off the plant, perhaps the same is true of potatoes. In spite of all those carbs.
