So glad to find this blog! Especially this post, I completely believe exactly what you are reporting here...and I live this way. i always look at people with diet soda cans...and they are generally overweight...and wonder why? So true, our bodies need the right kind of fat...but we should not be overly concerned with low-fat/no fat living...you have already said.everything ...just here giving you props! Thank You+

James sent a second email with this additional information about his sleep problem:

"Incidentally I also get a similar problem after heavy exercise. I feel really relaxed at first, then sleepy, then I'll get to sleep easily and then wake up very early and I won't be able to get back to sleep again. I'll feel irritable and sluggish during not just the next day but the following three or four after that as well. I'm sure the problems are related.

"Anyway it would be good if you could post that bit on your blog too; you never know, there may be someone out there that could help.

"Anyway thanks for taking the time to respond, and for your offer of help,
James"

I just remembered one "symptom" that I experienced yesterday as I took my dog for a nice long walk downtown - I felt compelled to take really deep breaths. This is, of course, a good thing, but I have no way to explain it. Does anyone out there know why that would happen during a fast?

I think we try to change our eating habits, that eradicate many problems from our body and keep us healthy, we avoid the sugars and calories, we do a diet base on fruits, low-fat meat, grains, vegetables, legums, pasta, diet bread.

I love this page's dedication to losing weight. But Fat people make way too many excuses. Overweight people typically just need to STOP putting food in their mouths. Simple as that. Fat people are usually very sensitive to the truth and complain that this attitude is "mean" or "uncaring." God helps those that help themselves, so put down the chips and get healthy already.

Look, here's the DIET SOLUTION; anyone that wants to lose the flubber should simply take a picture of themselves and put it on the fridge next to a picture of a starving child. Next time you need a cupcake, stare at the picture for 30 seconds and get real.

This is fantastic. Most people think of the word 'Diet' as something that is going to cause them some kind of deprivation.

The simple fact is that when you want to lose weight, especially because of health problems, it's best to consider it a lifestyle change.

Losing weight can be a hard battle for lots of people, it's an addiction ... Imagine a drug addict trying to kick the habit but still having to have the drug each and every day to live! A scary thought.
